ABSTRACT

Introduction. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was quarantine, limited contacts, and an increased burden on the healthcare system in the last two years. These problems have led to a rethinking and transformation of patients' readiness for the digitalisation of healthcare. Purpose. To form a patient profile, ready to use digital technologies and artificial intelligence methods in medical care during the COVID-19 pandemic, based on technological competence and digital literacy skills analysis. Material and methods. The sociological survey of patients was used through the remote distribution of links to the Google form on the Internet. The survey consists of 11 blocks, including an assessment of attitudes towards digital technologies and artificial intelligence in healthcare. Results. The average age of respondents was 41.8 ± 0.7 years, mostly female 225 (74%) in the group of patients ready to use electronic wearable devices to monitor and control their health. One hundred thirty-one people (43.1 %) regularly monitor their blood pressure levels. One hundred thirty-seven people (45%) assess their health as good and 133 (43.7%) satisfactory. 256 (84.2%) respondents mostly work full-time. Ones do physical exercises regularly in 34.2% (n = 104) cases and rarely in 48,7% (n = 148). Only 164 respondents (29.4%) consider it possible to use artificial intelligence methods in providing medical care, preventing the development of diseases and promoting a healthy lifestyle, against 256 people (45.9%), the remaining 137 people (24.6%) found it difficult to answer. ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the concept of a "new normal" to our daily lives and fundamentally affects how we live, learn, and work. In these extraordinary times, the quick move from traditional (face-to-face) learning to online learning is viewed as a paradigm change affecting social, economic, and ecological factors. In this vein, the current study investigates the linkages among system quality, instructor quality, campus learning climate, student satisfaction, and online learning success. We have collected questionnaire-based data from 302 students enrolled in different programs and employed the structural equation modelling (SEM) approach. The results indicate that system and instructor quality is vital in accomplishing campus learning climate and student satisfaction. Manifestly, campus learning climate and student satisfaction also significantly affect online learning success, which helps achieve institutional excellence and positive word of mouth. Virtual learning offers many technological advantages and leads to lower resource consumption than physical learning models. Enlightening the quality of education systems and instructors is crucial in producing value in modern societies for institutional superiority. © 2023 The Author(s). ABSTRACT

AIM. To evaluate the system of remote rehabilitation for patients after coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Tyumen region and its first results. MATERIAL AND METHODS. A randomized trial, including 100 cases in patients who had had a moderately severe coronavirus infection. The following were analyzed: dyspnea progression (according to mMRS), the Borg test progression, Stange and Henci functional tests, and quality of life results according to the EQ-5D questionnaire. Telemedicine interaction was carried out using the Telemed72 application. The rehabilitation program included physical exercises and video classes. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. There were no major problems with remote communication between the patient and the therapist in the course of the telerehabilitation. At the end of the rehabilitation period, two groups showed some positive changes. Group 1 reduced the severity of dyspnea by 2 points, Group 2 - by 1.5 points, the data of functional breathing tests improved, muscle strength increased and self-evaluation of the quality of life also improved. Contact with a medical professional during telerehabilitation sessions and exercising under the remote supervision of a specialist are of great importance for the patient. This preserves the principle of continuity and consistency in rehabilitation care. CONCLUSION. A system of telerehabilitation has been launched in Tyumen region. The patients, participating in remote tele-rehabilitation sessions, demonstrate improvements in functional breathing tests and quality of life scores. Expanding the boundaries of distant rehabilitation beyond large scientific and clinical centres will require training in the use of videoconferencing and operating special equipment. © 2022, Elena F. ABSTRACT

In today’s globalization world, society is facing unprecedented challenges posed by the needs of urbanization and mobility. Such challenges become even more acute when exacerbated by strong exogenous shocks, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, as they collapse everyday life activities and lead to further imbalances in socio-economic systems. Resilience of such systems and their readiness to mitigate the risks is heavily reliant on their preparedness and willingness to switch to alternative functioning modes. That is of special importance for education sector. This article aims at identifying the driving forces of successful transition to remote learning while keeping the academic motivation of engineering students. ABSTRACT

Interactive and remote technologies are being actively introduced into the training process in the specialty "Pharmacy" In addition to ease of use, they have several advantages and disadvantages for all stakeholders. The purpose of the work is to analyze the disadvantages of traditional, interactive, and remote methods of teaching in the specialty "Pharmacy" at the Far Eastern State Medical University. This is a sociological survey of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biomedicine (higher education), as well as the Medical-Pharmaceutical College (secondary education). Statistical processing was performed using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Traditional teaching methods are characterized by the inconvenience of tight time frames. During on-line classes, it is more difficult to use an individual methodology for the student and change the teaching method. The most characteristic shortcomings of distance learning include the lack of motivation and the possibility of violations (writing off, forgery, etc.) by the student. Despite the geographical remoteness of the regions, material, and technical difficulties in switching to distance learning, as a rule, did not arise. The lack of an individual approach and the subjectivity of student assessments in distance and traditional teaching methods are due to the high occupancy of groups and their frequent combination (10-25 people) during the class. The disadvantage of remote methods is the complexity of regular control by the teacher, the lack of secure personality identification systems when sending written works and testing on-line, and the low level of consciousness of future specialists. According to the results of the questionnaire, the least number of shortcomings have interactive teaching methods, implying the active participation of the student himself and an individual approach.

ABSTRACT

The article deals with topical issues of changing the socio-economic state of citizens under the influence of the situation with the spread of a new coronavirus infection that swept the entire world at the beginning of this year. Currently, society is asking whether people's attitudes to each other will change, how the economic situation in general and the financial situation of citizens will develop, in particular, in the conditions of active use of remote technologies, the development of Internet resources and the transition to digitalization, which are gaining popularity in conditions of self-isolation and restrictions on mass events. The article uses the results of a survey of the research project «Self-organization and mutual assistance in countering the spread of coronavirus infection¼, conducted by the center for research of civil society and the non-profit sector of the Higher School of Economics. The responses of respondents regarding the introduction of digitalization, increasing online opportunities, both in terms of work, training, and entertainment and communication, converge and confirm the prospects for development. However, while volunteers are optimistic about digitalization, representatives of the civilian population are more concerned about strengthening the digital control of the state over the lives of citizens.
